The goal of the 5 Points Consortium will be to create a multipurpose space inside the Welton Corridor of Five Points where aspiring artists, musicians and other creative entrepreneurs can practice their craft and breathe fresh life into the culture of the neighborhood, while reclaiming a piece of downtown Denver for those without extravagant means.
The Five Points Project partners will acquire a large, currently underutilized space in the Five Points area, and revitalize it to create a multi-purpose space. The newly realized space will include:
- Common space available to club members, with a specific target toward visual artists, cartoonists, musicians and other creative entrepreneurs. This space will be available for a modest club membership fee.
- Semi-private spaces for a slightly higher membership fee. The partners will partner with an existing company that repurposes shipping containers or other sustainable materials to create unique, efficient spaces.
- Private spaces for a slightly higher membership rate which allow creative entrepreneurs to devlop their crafts and businesses in a more proprietary business setting.
- Podcast studios for lease by members, including the ability to hire podcast producers at reasonable rates.
- Video and film recording studios available at reasonable rates, plus membership access to crew rosters and lists, to allow Denver-area production crews to obtain work in the state.
- In addition to the above benefits for club members, the Five Points space will be anchored by a downstairs facility which will serve as a nightly performance space, to be named Doc Phil’s Comedy Club.
